| Private Residence ~ Watervliet
June 23, 2006 - The ISIS Team investigated a private home in Watervliet, New York after receiving a number of complaints pertaining to paranormal activity. The home consisted of two apartments, the second floor was under renovation, and three individuals occupied the lower apartment: a twenty-two year-old male, an eighteen year-old female, and another 21 year-old male. All of the occupants of the apartment want to remain anonymous and ISIS has ensured the client’s anonymity. Fictitious names have been used for the sake of clarity. The clients shall therefore be identified as follows, the 22 year-old male will be identified as William, the 18 year-old female will be identified as Sara, and the 21 year-old male will be identified as Jason. Paranormal complaints at the current location include the unexplained smell of roses, the sound of footsteps without explanation, and the sound of running seemingly coming from inside the walls. Sara reported hearing the sound of two men conversing when she was alone in the location, and both William and Sara reported seeing a black anomaly: the anomaly was describe as a large male like apparition. Also, the roommates reported experiencing both hot and cold spots in different locations of the apartment, particularly in one bedroom in and the closet of another. The three roommates had different religious affiliations. William reported that he was Wiccan, Sara was formerly a Catholic, but asserts that she is now Atheist, and Jason, also formerly Catholic reported that he was currently Atheist. William reported an interest in the occult and Sara reported that occult subjects “peaked her interest.” Meanwhile, Jason did not show or express an interest in the occult. According to the three occupants, the home had never been blessed and no prior media or investigation team had been involved with the home. The occupants of the apartment believe that the home is at least 100 years-old and that it has had at least two owners. In total, the entire building contains 17 rooms, and the upstairs apartment was under significant renovation upon our arrival. The roommates advised us that their apartment had undergone renovations as well. When the roommates were asked if they had ever had paranormal experiences in the past, Jason explained how he “saw his grandfather after he had passed away”. William reported having paranormal experiences in locations different than the home under investigation, explaining that he has heard “unexplained screaming,” has “discovered clothes scattered on the floor without explanation,” and has experienced unexplainable issues with electronics and appliances in the past. Finally, Sara asserts that in a location separate from the one under investigation, that she has “seen apparitions,” “heard unexplained voices and has heard chairs being pulled in and out,” and she has heard the “unexplained sound of glass breaking when nothing was broken.” Special Note: During the process of investigation and during the interview with the clients, the ISIS team sensed that the occupants were not being entirely truthful about the events. Several indicators suggested that the clients were behaving deceptively, and the team duly noted that the occupants were incredibly secretive, and whispered back and forth while being questioned about occurrences. The ISIS team has kept this idea in mind during the process of evidence analysis. Site Stats: The moon was 4% full, Waning Weather: 65-82 F, intermittent showers and rain Sky Activity: Solar X-ray: Normal Geomagnetic Field: Quiet Temperature Fluctuations: Location: Bottom floor apartment/Back hall Fluctuation: 80.6 F to 85.3. F. Location: Bottom floor apartment/Back hall Fluctuation: 82.4 to 86. Location: Upstairs floor/ Bedroom Fluctuation: 85 F to 91F EMF Fluctuations: EMF reading of 4 milliguass was detected in the downstairs of the location with no mundane explanation for its source. Experiences: One of our investigators experienced extreme vertigo on the second floor of the location, so much so that they collapsed. After being helped up, the investigator went outside to regain their bearings. In another incident, the investigator’s camera shut off without explanation. Photographs: In two separate photographs, a shadow like presence is detected in the basement; this is congruent with the complaints made by William and Sara. Several orbs were also captured at the location. One photographic capture shows motion in front of the window, but no motion blur anywhere else in the image: it is suggestive –the was only motion in front of the window, and the motion blur cannot be explained. Video: Video did not capture any unusual activity. ITC Photography: Several attempts at ITC photography proved successful. A number of images appeared and have been included in the gallery. Conclusions: Despite the lack of confidence our team has in the reports offered by the clients, positive emf readings, positive evp captures, and positive photos, as well as the personal experiences of our investigators suggest that the home is active. Our team conducted a cleansing after the conclusion of our investigation. Unfortunately, our team has lost touch with the clients so no further updates can be offered about the successfulness of the cleansing. |
