Case Report

The ISIS team set out to investigate a residence in Cohoes, after numerous complaints were placed by one of its occupants. Three female investigators interviewed the occupant, took photos, performed EMF readings, and videotaped the location. Complaints of paranormal activity from the occupant included; hearing a child cry when no children were present, electronic devices failing to work on a regular basis, a constant uneasy feeling, a heavy atmosphere, and physical attacks by unseen forces.

During the interview with the occupant, while discussing the paranormal activity that the client was experiencing, investigators noted that despite the fact that the weather was cold that day, the temperature at the location continued to rise, even with the heat turned off. The temperature became uncomfortable enough to force the occupant to open the windows in late November. There was no logical reason for the temperature increase because the occupant lived on the first floor of a building that possesses three floors. Usually, the lower floors are cooler than those above.

In addition to the above mentioned paranormal activity, investigators had an opportunity to experience the failure of electronic devices. Two investigators had brought brand new cameras (Argus 35mm) and they both failed to work at the same time. Both cameras would not take a picture and when the interview tape was reviewed for EVPs, strange rapping sounds from an unknown origin appear on tape.

Our EVP captures confirm that the occupant hears a child crying. In addition, we captured well over fifty EVPs at the site, some in the basement, and some in the first floor apartment. Most of the EVPs were the voices of children and men, of which none were present during our investigation.

Once the ISIS investigators got their cameras to work again, they used 4 rolls of 400 speed film to photograph the premise, of which only one roll could be developed. They other photos did not come out. In fact, the only photos that could be developed were those of the basement. Still, we managed to capture some interesting shots. The images captured, along with the EVPs captured at the location are indicative of a highly active location in terms of paranormal activity.

Paranormal activity occurred while the team was at the location conducting the investigation. On video we managed to capture a strange light which appears and then disappears in the kitchen pantry, the precise location in which the occupant complained of being physically attacked by something she could not see. Interestingly, during the interview, as the occupant discussed her attack and the pain she endured because of it, the ISIS team captured a rather menacing EVP that responded to the occupant's complaints with, "So what!"

The ISIS team is still looking into the full history of the premise and will follow up with future information.
