| Overview: The ISIS team decided to investigate a private residence in Columbia County, New York after consistent reports of strange activity. Witnesses report a doorbell ringing at strange hours in the morning (when no doorbell is connected) and in the middle of the day at random hours. Also reported is the fact that one of the bedrooms is consistently colder than the rest of the house. Further, a small crystal, light up rose with a turning base activation has been found on at 6 A.M. when it was off the prior evening. Finally, there are reports of the feeling of being watched and two of the residents claimed to have seen a hand at their bedroom door while lying in bed. Other activity at the location has also been reported. Trivial objects have been seen moving without any explanation, and lights have come on by themselves. A pre-investigation was performed and evp samples were taken. The results indicated that a further investigation was necessary. Various evps were captured both inside and outside of the premises: including both male and female voices. A team of five investigators, two males and three females, set out on March 6, 2005. The weather was comfortable, but chilly. The investigation began at 10 A.M. and concluded at around 2:30 p.m. Photos were shot with a Sony Cyber-shot P41 and evps were taken. Temperature readings proved to be erratic, especially in the bedroom location in which the room was 54.4 degrees and the rest of the house (except for the occasional cold spot) was fairly consistant at around 74 degrees. There stands the possiblity that poor insulation could be the cause of this significant difference in temperature, however, it is doubtful as the bedroom that is consistently cold was actually part of the new add-on to the location done in 2002-2003. Note: occupants are using a ceramic heater in the evening to sufficently heat this room. As the investigation began, we discussed the history of the home. The location was previously owned by at least three families and the site in which the home is located is situated in a place where a previous home once stood, having burned to the ground in the early 70's. Since then, the remains of the home were removed and the house that is now at the location was established. Two deaths occurred in that fire: a male and female of African American descent. It is uncertain as to weather the victims passed away on the site of the location or later in the hospital. Additionally, there exists specluation as to whether or not a third death had occurred on the premises earlier than the fire in 1972: acquaintances of the former occupants cannot quite remember the particulars of the event that were recounted to them, but believe that a child had passed away at the location as well--perhaps by drowning. Renovations to the home occurred in 2002-2003 when the owner placed a full length addition onto the home. Disclosure: Several photos reveal activity. Orbs have been captured in some photos and although we do not consider them a sign of activity in and of themselves, other evidence supports the argument of activity. One photo reveals the profile of an African American male and another reveals a woman in the hallway. Check out our photos in Our Photo Gallery. The sampling evps have captured both male and female evps. On the day of the investigation we captured a the voice of an older female saying, "Bless you" and a male, apparently wondering what our team was doing whispered, "What's going on?" Emf readings did not reveal any positive readings, as all readings fell below the 2.0 millaguass range or could be explained by natural causes. Want to see the photos related to this case?
