The ISIS team set out to investigate a residence in Cohoes, after numerous complaints were placed by one of its occupants. Three female investigators interviewed the occupant, took photos, performed EMF readings, and videotaped the location. Complaints of paranormal activity from the occupant included; hearing a child cry when no children were present, electronic devices failing to work on a regular basis, a constant uneasy feeling, a heavy atmosphere, and physical attacks by unseen forces.

The ISIS team decided to investigate a location in Rensselaer after a positive EVP sampling at the location and reports of paranormal activity. After only taping for approximately five minutes, two female investigators managed to capture a shockingly clear male EVP stating, "I am dead." During that five minute session, the investigators also captured indications of additional paranormal activity including strange banging and knocking.

The ISIS Paranormal team decided to investigate a private residence in Columbia County, New York after consistent reports of strange, paranormal activity. Witnesses report a doorbell ringing at strange hours in the morning (when no doorbell is connected) and in the middle of the day at random hours. Also reported is the fact that one of the bedrooms is consistently colder than the rest of the house. Further, a small crystal, light up rose with a turning base activation has been found on at 6 A.M. when it was off the prior evening. Finally, there are reports of the feeling of being watched and two of the residents claimed to have seen a hand at their bedroom door while lying in bed. Other paranormal activity at the location has also been reported. Trivial objects have been seen moving without any explanation, and lights have come on by themselves.

In the 1890's the Houghton Mansion belonged to the former mayor of North Adams Massachusetts, Albert C. Houghton and his family. It is now a Masonic lodge and home to the Greylock Lodge A.F. & A.M. and the Naomi Chapter of the Eastern Star. The mansion has been identified as haunted and has been previously investigated by The New England Ghost Project.

The ISIS team set out to investigate a home in Rensselaer county after hearing numerous rumors that the house was haunted. Co-founder Patricia Gardner approached the owners of the location and received permission to investigate and on April 3, 2005, five ISIS team members, three females and two males, set out to investigate the location. What was most striking about the location is its uncanny resemblance to the Addams Family Mansion. In fact, during the interview, the ISIS team learned that many locals refer to the site as the Addams Family House. The house, located in Rensselaer county, was built in 1865 and possesses an eerie atmosphere.

The ISIS team investigated a private residence in Cohoes, New York, after receiving complaints of unexplainable activity from the occupants. Initial complaints seemed to have started approximately two years ago, when the occupant became engaged and her fiancé moved in. Complaints consisted of the radio turning up by itself as a common occurrence, the feeling of being watched, and curtains moving by themselves with windows closed and no drafts as a cause.

On June 5, 2005, the ISIS Paranormal team set out to investigate a purported haunting in Orange County, New York after being contacted by a family that had been suffering from ongoing paranormal activity. The family, having lived in Orange County for approximately a decade, had experienced documented paranormal activity at their former location, and after having moved to a new location in the same county, reported experiencing similar events in their new home.

The ISIS Team set out to investigate an apartment house in Troy New York this past October, after being contacted by a 41 year-old female tenant named Cynthia. Cynthia resides in an apartment building that houses 5 other apartments and she had been experiencing sporadic activity that she described as possibly paranormal in origin. After talking at length with Cynthia about her experiences, a team of four investigators-two males and two females paid Cynthia a visit at her first floor home.

The ISIS team set out on March 12, 2006 to investigate complaints made by a client living in Middletown, New York. The current owner surmises that the home was built around 1850. Six investigators visited the bi-level, Middletown home: a home that was owned by the same family for several generations. The current owners have resided at the location for thirty-three years.

The ISIS team set out on May 28, 2006 to conduct an investigation at a private residence in Chester, Vermont after receiving numerous complaints from the current occupants of the home pertaining to paranormal activity. Upon receiving in-depth communication from one of the occupants living at the location, our team decided further investigation was warranted and preceded to the location with a team of eight individuals: five females and three male investigators were present during the investigation. The team was privileged enough to have a client that kept a journal about all of the unusual happenings and paranormal activity that occurred since they had moved their family into the quiet town of Chester and such information was conveyed to the team upon initial contact with the client. Note: This case appeared on the Dicovery Channel's "A Haunting," Season 4, in "Echoes of the Past."

A case where the current family has lived at the for 8 years and the paranormal activity in question started approximately 5 years ago, when renovations had started. The entire house has been remodeled, and only the brick walls remain from the original home built on the site. The initial complaints of paranormal activity include electric fire alarms going off in the middle of the night for no reason, and the sound of footsteps running around the kitchen table. The client has reported that they have seen "eight children running around the kitchen table" and "two children swinging on the swing set" in her yard. The client has also experienced cold chills, and has felt unseen things pass through her on random occasions.

The ISIS Team investigated a private home in Watervliet, New York after receiving a number of complaints pertaining to paranormal activity. The home consisted of two apartments, the second floor was under renovation, and three individuals occupied the lower apartment: a twenty-two year-old male, an eighteen year-old female, and another 21 year-old male. All of the occupants of the apartment want to remain anonymous and ISIS has ensured the client’s anonymity. Fictitious names have been used for the sake of clarity. The clients shall therefore be identified as follows, the 22 year-old male will be identified as William, the 18 year-old female will be identified as Sara, and the 21 year-old male will be identified as Jason.

The ISIS Team set out to investigate a home in Colonie, New York after receiving complaints of paranormal activity made by a female client living in the location. We arrived at the location on July 2006, to conduct a complete investigation into the complaints posed by the client. Upon our arrival, our team historian began an interview with the woman and her boyfriend about the events that were troubling them. Reports include the feeling of being watched, being touched by an unseen force; seeing apparitions in the location; strange noises and banging that has no explanation for its cause; objects turn up missing and are found in unusual locations, the household pet has been noted to behave in an unusual manner, and the female client has reported seeing an apparition at the location on more than one occasion.

On Halloween morning, October 31st the ISIS Paranormal team set out to investigate a home in Averill Park, New York, after receiving the kind invitation from the FLY 92.3 Radio station and the owners of the home; both FLY 92.3 and the homeowners wanted an investigation into alleged paranormal activity occurring in the home. Fondly referred to as the Minnick Manor, the owners Glenn Minnick and Adrian Castillo contacted FLY 92.3 and the Morning Rush Show hosted by Jim Clark, Brian Cody, and Chrissy Cavotta and invited the crew to host the show live on location. Our team found out that the FLY 92.3 station was looking for a paranormal investigation team to assist them and we volunteered.

The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team investigated an old commercial building in Schenectady, New York on January 7, 2007. A team of five investigators: Dayna Winters, Patricia Gardner, Justyn Staley, Angela Kaufman, and Sathish Victor set out to investigate a five floor location after receiving complaints of paranormal activity. Primary complaints include seeing moving shadows within the field of peripheral vision, hearing unexplained noises, and finding cabinet doors open when they were previously closed (without explanation). The anonymous client’s friends have also reported feeling odd at the location and have heard heavy footsteps from an unexplained source.

The ISIS Team investigated a home in Troy, New York, after receiving complaints about paranormal activity from the family currently residing in the single floor home. Maria Martinez, 47, Joseph Bombadier, 46, and their 12 year-old daughter posed a number of complaints consistent with the typical complaints of paranormal activity. The activity included items disappearing from a certain location and reappearing in another, seeing motion out of the corner of one’s eye, unexplained voices and talking, and difficulties with electronic appliances. According to Martinez, the voices that are frequently heard are difficult to understand and it sounds as if someone is conversing in another room when no one else is in the home. In addition, Martinez reports hearing someone calling her name when no one is at the location. Martinez also complained that she has noticed an increase in headaches, and the experience of a negative attitude since she moved into the location 6 months ago. The voices are most frequently heard at night. Sometimes the client hears what sounds like furniture moving around unaided, and chairs being pulled out and pushed back in.

The ISIS team investigated The Olde Knox Mansion in Johnstown, a bed and breakfast, after receiving permission from the mansion’s current owner, Marty Quinn. Our team was interested in looking into the reports that the mansion was haunted and Mr. Quinn was gracious enough to allow our team to investigate. A team of seven investigators attended the investigation and was joined by the New Gravity Media film crew, filming for 14 Degrees: A Paranormal Documentary. The documentary is scheduled for release on October 17, 2007 and the ISIS team’s investigation will be presented, along with investigations and interviews conducted with the Long Island Society for Paranormal Research, The Spirit Encounter Research Team, New England Anomalies Research, Berkshire Paranormal, Boston Paranormal Investigators, South Jersey Ghost Research, John Zaffis, Steve Gonslaves, Keith Johnson, and Para Science.

The ISIS team set out to investigate a location in Greene County, New York after receiving a referral from the New York Pennsylvania Paranormal Society. The clients contacted NYPAPs with reports of activity and the complaint included doors opening and closing without explanation, toys moving by themselves, distant, angry sounding, unexplained male voices heard on occasion, loud mumbling seemingly coming from other rooms when no one was present, and the smell of cigarette smoke when no one smokes inside the location. The client’s children have also reported seeing apparitions, and hearing unexplained voices. Further, there are reports of seeing unexplained shadows and the clients have seen the apparition of a male leaving the breezeway of the location. The main reason the client contacted a paranormal group for assistance was to determine what exactly was going on in the home, what was responsible and why such events are happening.

The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team set out to conduct an investigation after being contacted by the sister of a woman living in North Adams, Massachusetts with complaints about paranormal activity and unexplained events. The woman, (herein to be identified as Nicole to protect the client’s identity per her request) desired an investigation to look into the strange events she was experiencing. Physical complaints reported by the client included unexplained nausea, headaches, difficulty sleeping, restlessness, and “shakiness” (possibly associated with anxiety). Nicole also informed our team that she often sensed a male spirit or presence, one that was angry: primarily located in the upstairs portion of her home. Shadows have also been seen in the same location; Nicole has heard unexplained banging and has felt the bed shaking on various occasions. Downstairs neighbors living below Nicole have told her that they could hear footsteps walking around upstairs in Nicole’s home when no one was at the location. Nicole further asserts that she senses the angry male presence primarily in her bedroom or within the hallway upstairs. According to Nicole, her child has also complained about unexplained events.

The ISIS Paranormal Team set out to investigate a location situated in Westport, New York after receiving complaints about paranormal activity from the family residing in a single family home in Westport. The home consisted of a family of six, two females, and four males: the wife is identified as Sandy, the husband Rob, and the couple’s three boys and one daughter currently live at the location in Essex County. The family had resided at the location for a period of nine plus years in a beautifully built home formerly owned by at least two previous owners. Complaints included physical ailments including continuous and unexplained fatigue or exhaustion, unexplained mood swings, some instances of insomnia, hearing unexplained noises and banging; and seeing the apparition of an unidentified male by the fireplace in the living room of the location. Visitors to the location have reported seeing a “black figure” in the home, and the apparition in the front yard of a small girl that later disappeared.

The ISIS Team investigated a private residence in Schenectady, New York after being contacted by a couple living at the location that reported experiencing an increase in unusual and unexplained events. Jason, age 18, and his girlfriend Heather, age 19, had been living at the location for a period of two months when they noted several odd events that caused them concern. Heather first noticed the fact that the bathroom cabinets beneath the sink were always open every morning, despite the fact that they were closed the evening prior, and Heather and Jason witnessed a candle fly off the top of the television without aid on several occasions. The distance the candle traveled was estimated to be about five feet and the candle was not lit at the time of the event. Visitors to the location have complained about seeing the apparition of a girl in the bathroom of the location; and some visitors have reported the feeling of being touched by something unseen in the bathroom of the site.

The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team had an opportunity to conduct an investigation in Norwood, Massachusetts. We were contacted by a male, who will here in be known as Michael to protect his identity. Michael contacted us with concerns about the strange noises he and his family were hearing in their Norwood home, and other peculiar, unexplained events that were affecting both his family and his marriage. The family reported a number of paranormal claims including the fact that they could hear people walking around and moving about in the upstairs attic when there was no one in the attic at the time. In addition, one witness to the paranormal activity in the home claimed to hear a harmonica being played in the kitchen when there was no one in the kitchen; and Michael’s wife Amanda saw an apparition of a man in the home: the man looked to be Caucasian, he was in the shadows and dressed all in black.

Michelle had been living at the location in question alone for a period of three years in a small apartment on the bottom floor. The primary complaints that the client presented to the ISIS Paranormal Investigation team include the feeling of sudden cold spots and “cold fronts,” spreading through the living room without explanation; the sensation of something touching her hand while she was working in the computer room; unexplained issues with her computer that cannot be explained away rationally or with issues related to technological problems. Myriad, unexplained problems with the business would arise; problems far beyond what one might expect to encounter when operating a business. When Michelle sought the assistance of other professionals in the industry, the problems could not be explained by mundane causes. The client asserts that the paranormal activity was having an effect on her ability to conduct business, to make money, and to live a happy, fruitful, and productive life as well. The most troublesome reports involved the client feeling like she was frequently being touched by something she could not see.

On October 31, 2008, The ISIS Paranormal Investigation team had a chance to investigate the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, New York, thanks to the kind invitation of the mansion owners and the local radio station Fly 92.3. The Glen Sanders mansion is fixed in Scotia just a few minutes distance from the Proctors Theatre. The location of the mansion is on 1 Glen Avenue, in Scotia consists of 22 rooms, however, our team only investigated the oldest part of the mansion as that is where the majority of activity has been reported.

Cohoes, New York, The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team investigated the building adjacent to the Spindle City Market on Ontario Street which is presently used for storage. The team received permission to investigate the location from the present owner, John Nolan, who was also available for an in-depth interview. The Spindle City Market is situated minutes away from the Hudson River; the building is 145 years old, has had numerous owners, and was built in 1864. The location has never been blessed or spiritually cleansed, and complaints include seeing unexplained shadow figures, seeing things out of the corner of one’s eye, the sensation of being watched by something unseen, and unusual, static-sounding phone calls on a monthly basis to the public grocery store existing at the location. Nolan asserts that the land once belonged to Native Americans, and that it is possible that the land was sacred. The team investigated three floors of the location and an attic area.

The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team conducted an investigation in Warren County New York in a private home after being contacted by an individual reporting paranormal events and experiences. The client desires an anonymous status, so we will herein refer to the 36 year-old female we interviewed as Karen, to her 34 year-old husband as Jacob, her 16 year-old son as Keith, and her 11 year-old daughter as Kayla. Paranormal experiences at the location are varied and have occurred for at least the past three years. Karen reports that she was pushed down the stairs by an unseen force and the event resulted in a broken wrist. Karen also explained that her son Keith has been attacked in his bedroom where he felt something sit on his chest. She further complained about unexplained feelings of dread and unexplained feelings of aggression. Other experiences include hearing talking and yelling from an unknown origin as well as tapping and banging that cannot be explained from mundane sources. Karen’s son has also complained of smelling sulphur and sometimes the unexplained smell of “rotting, nasty, stomach turning odors” are detected.

Brunswick, New York, The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team investigated a private home situated in Brunswick, New York after being contacted by an individual that was concerned for the safety of her son, his fiancé, and their 5 month old child residing in the Brunswick home. The mother, Ann, had contacted us with concerns that the home that her son and his family are living in is haunted and she explained that at first little incidents would occur, but that the activity was increasing and becoming more aggressive. After putting us directly in touch with her son, an investigation at the location was scheduled.

Schenevus, New York, The ISIS Paranormal Investigations team was called upon to visit a private home located in Schenevus, New York after the owner’s of the home reported unexplained paranormal activity. The paranormal activity reported in the home included reports of doors opening and closing without human aid, the sighting of apparitions, unexplained burning sensations, the unexplained appearance of scratch marks on various individuals visiting the home and living in the home, and the television turning on and off by itself. Additional reports included the sighting of a glowing white light in an empty bathroom; when the client went to check to see what the source of the light was the light disappeared. The clients reported being able to hear whispers from an unexplained source, footsteps and loud banging/thudding in the upstairs of the location when no one was on the upstairs level, and the female head of the household as well as her son were pushed down the stairs by an unseen force on several occasions.

The ISIS team conducted a paranormal investigation in Lansingburgh after being contacted by a couple experiencing paranormal activity. The clients report experiencing paranormal events at three locations, all in the Lansingburgh area. Primary reports include hearing voices, seeing black, shadow-like anomalies, feeling cold spots, seeing apparitions, hearing unexplained noises, and the couple complained that their five year old child was interacting with something unseen.

The ISIS team conducted an investigation into paranormal occurrences reported in a private home in Albany County, New York. The clients in the case requested an anonymous status, so all names in this report are changed to protect the clients’ identities. Paranormal experiences reported by the clients include the sighting of apparitions,” the children having severe nightmares, objects being moved or disappearing without explanation; the sudden appearance of knives and screwdrivers in odd locations throughout the home, and one child in the family has had repeated experiences with what she calls an “old hag.”

The ISIS team conducted an investigation on November 12, 2011 in Albany County after being contacted by an adult female complaining of paranormal activity. The woman posed complaints consisting of the sensation of being watched by something unseen, her children being physically attacked from an unseen force, unexplained sounds and voices, and even visitors in the home were having paranormal encounters. Terrified, the client decided to call in a team to conduct an investigation, and if necessary, a clearing or cleansing of the home.
