Dayna Winters, Co-founder, and Co-director
At an early age, I became interested in the paranormal. I am an avid bibliophile, and
I appreciate fiction and non-fiction works of all kinds. I am a huge fan of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul,
Scott Cunningham, and Doreen Valiente, among many other fantastic writers. Anything considered paranormal
fascinates me, and I simply cannot get enough information on paranormal occurrences. My hopes create an interesting
paradox for one day, I hope that which is unexplainable is finally understood, but I know that with understanding also
comes the loss of the mysterious; what once had intrigued many people will become normal and commonplace.
In my spare time (which is very little), I like to read, write, and draw. I also like to headstone hunt with my
husband Mark. Currently, I am a writer and I have both my A.A. and my B.A. Eventually, I plan to pursue my M.A
in English. I am a priestess in the Dragon Warriors of Isis coven and the mother of five who loves both
Wicca and the paranormal. I have had previous publications appear in Blood Moon Rising Magazine
(Sapphire Publications, 2000 & 2001), Crescent Magazine (2003 & 2004), Threads
Magazine (2002-2004) and the Russell Sage Review (2005-2006). My most recent publication has appeared in the Journal for the Academic Study of Magic: Issue 5, published by Mandrake of Oxford, entitled Hermetic/Cabalistic Ritual in Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus (2009).
Patricia Gardner, Co-founder, and Co-director
I first became interested in the paranormal over thirty years ago. I was around
fourteen years old when I had my first spirit encounter. Since that time, my experiences have led me to a broader
study of the occult and the paranormal. I was drawn to the Goddess path at the age of eight, and have remained on
the path ever since. I am the High Priestess of the Dragon Warriors of Isis coven, I have maintained an
interest in demonology, and I have made it my life’s work to figure out what is on the other side, the causes of
paranormal activity, and how to assist people that experience activity. I firmly believe there are hauntings that can be
classified as inhuman, and that people suffer terribly when such activity is encountered.
I will openly admit that I do not know everything about the paranormal and suggest that if anyone ever meets up
with a person that claims to have all the answers, to steer clear of him or her. The paranormal is “beyond normal,” and
while I strive to understand it, how it happens, why it happens, and attempt to implement solutions, there are many
things that remain unresolved and not clearly understood. My partner and I started a ghost research group so that we
could learn what we can, while simultaneously sharing what we have learned with others. We look forward to
assisting people, to helping them understand paranormal events, in as much as it is possible to understand their unique
experiences.
Mark Winters, Lead Investigator
I am one that believes anything is possible; I became interested in the paranormal
when my wife and I began to examine Electronic Voice Phenomena. I think that studying the paranormal is challenging
and I welcome the challenge. I am an avid hunter, fisher, and headstone hunter. I got interested in cemetery art when
my wife had a college term paper to do on the subject. We went out together to take photos of local cemeteries and
we have been headstone hunters ever since. Unlike my wife, a real book lover, I am not a lover of books. I do,
however, have a keen eye, so we work well together. I have an Automotive Degree, I am a Master Mechanic, and I
have what my wife fondly refers to as a “mechanical mind.” I enjoy figuring out how things work, and how I can make
them work even better.
Angela Kaufman, Psychic Sketch Artist
I have always believed in paranormal phenomena. As a child, I was
interested in supernatural stories; anything from vampire legends to folktales about witchcraft, and then there was the
family favorite, Unsolved Mysteries (in the eighties when it was still decent). At thirteen, I found Doreen
Valiente's ABC's of Witchcraft and became increasingly focused on Wiccan spirituality and magick as
well as the power of dreams, divination, and energy work. Now, many years later, I am a priestess in the
Dragon Warriors of Isis coven, and I have begun to put all my interests to work in learning how to
recognize the natural and supernatural in all things. At the suggestion of Pat and Dayna, I am thrilled to be getting the
opportunity to utilize my interests in the supernatural combined with a long held hobby of drawing to assist the team.
Other interests include reading, movies, music, and learning about the mundane and esoteric worlds in which we all
live.
Justyn Staley, Team Clairsentient
My interests in the paranormal began at a very early age. When I was as
young as the age of 7, I began having paranormal and unexplainable experiences. Not quite understanding what was
happening at the time, the events that I experienced led me to continued interests in the paranormal. At the age of 15,
I began studying different haunted places, haunted cemeteries, and other paranormal subjects. Once I realized that
paranormal activity is real and paranormal events do occur, my interests pertaining to the “other side” increased
immensely. Now, I have dedicated myself to the continued study of the paranormal and to seeking out the answers
that so many others seek. I am a member of the Dragon Warriors of Isis coven and I am an elder in the coven teaching others about the fundamentals of Wicca.
What the ISIS Paranormal Investigations Team Does:
Our team conducts full-scale, confidential paranormal investigations into unexplained events using a combination of
techniques that include both sensitive/esoteric and scientific methods of study. We use an array of equipment to
determine if paranormal activity is present in a location. In addition to conducting extensive interviews with clients, we
use:
Scientific Equipment:
- Digital Cameras
- Electromagnetic Field Detection Devices
- Electronic Voice Phenomena Recording Devices
- Infrared Thermometers
- Video Recording Devices
Sensitive Techniques:
- Dowsing Rods
- Pendulums
- Psychic Sketching
- Clairsentient Experiences
- Clearings and Crossings
Our team, at the request of the client, will conduct a clearing, also known as a cleansing, at a location in an effort
to rid the location of negative spirits and energies. We also conduct ritual crossings upon request, in an effort to help
earthbound spirits cross over, if willing. In addition, our team is capable of conducting distant clearings in an effort to
alleviate negative energies. It should be noted that a cleansing is not an exorcism, an exorcism is a rite that is
sanctioned by the Church, and if an exorcism is desired, the client will be referred to their religious affiliation.
However, our clearings (cleansings) are the equivalent to an exorcism within our belief system.
